Hey everyone. I've been looking for a new toy to add to the garage for a while and ended up purchasing a 2002 Camaro SS. SLP#4733. I had a 96z when I was in high school and have always wanted to get into another. I tried to find the lowest mile, clean and tastefully modified car that I could find. Luckily for me, this car was local and I was able to scoop it up. Here are the details on the car 11k miles, 241 CNC ported heads, 228/332 110+4 cam, FTP 98mm lid, SSRA, FAST 92mm TB, TSP 1 3/4, 3" TSP catback, 25% UD pulley , Eibach lowering springs, MGW short throw shifter, UMI lower control arms ..read more

Any third-generation Camaro guys on here?

I'm not sure if this is even the right place to post this, so moderators feel free to move this if it's not in the right place. At one point I was heavily into modifying my thirdgens (had two 1984s and a 1991) and while I don't have the vehicles anymore I have a huge variety of leftover parts, some of which are likely either not available any more or are just really hard to find. I'd always hoped that one day I'd have another one (my '84 Sport Coupe was my first car) but due to health issues that's a dream I've had to give up, and now I'm losing the place where these parts are stored and don ..read more

March 2005 - at 27 years of age I would finally find a Red Camaro, 6speed manual, with T-Tops after over a year of looking (grew up watching Magnum PI and loved the Red Ferrari in it!). This one turned out to be an LS1 Z28 based out of Florida. I thought I knew a ton about cars, but I had no idea how little I actually knew or would learn from this moment forward. We bought this car sight unseen from a dealer in Ituna, Saskatchewan, Canada who imported it to Canada from an auction in Florida, USA with 55,000miles. We paid $20,520.00 Canadian for it at the time. It would arrive to our home whil ..read more

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum. This is my first go around with a car, light duty and some heavy duty diesels are my go to and what I spend all my time playing with but I think it’s time to mix it up. Everyone on here has been a huge help with their various threads which has in turn, given me the confidence to begin my own build thread. I acquired a 1985 Camaro Z/28 IROC roughly a year ago for a killer deal that I couldn’t pass up running and driving. It’s not the prettiest but it will be peppy when it’s done. I have a 2005 Gen 3 5.3 that will be going into it along with the factory ha ..read more

I have been daily driving my 98 z28 for a while now and one of the piston bearings recently went. I was able to get my hands on a lq9 for a pretty good price and was wondering if anybody on this forum had any information on how it would be to put it into my Camaro and if I need to purchase an engine harness or anything extra. I will be reusing my air intake, intake manifold, head gasket, oil pan, and I believe the excuse manifolds as well. Also we were looking to get a cam kit as well and if anybody knew a good cam kit to get that would be helpful as well ..read more

I recently blew my ls1 in my 98 z28 and am looking for something to replace it. I found a nice looking engine on eBay at a good price and low mileage. However, the engine is said to be a ls1 from a 2001-2003 Corvette. Does anybody have any information on how the swap would be. eBay says the engine is not compatible but I’m sure the people on here would be more knowledgeable ..read more
