I had a 96z when I was in high school and have always wanted to get into another. I tried to find the lowest mile, clean and tastefully modified car that I could find. March 2005 - at 27 years of age I would finally find a Red Camaro, 6speed manual, with T-Tops after over a year of looking (grew up watching Magnum PI and loved the Red Ferrari in it!). I have been daily driving my 98 z28 for a while now and one of the piston bearings recently went. I was able to get my hands on a lq9 for a pretty good price and was wondering if anybody on this forum had any information on how it would be to put it into my Camaro and if I need to purchase an engine harness or anything extra. I will be reusing my air intake, intake manifold, head gasket, oil pan, and I believe the excuse manifolds as well. I recently blew my ls1 in my 98 z28 and am looking for something to replace it. I found a nice looking engine on eBay at a good price and low mileage. However, the engine is said to be a ls1 from a 2001-2003 Corvette.
