Fuse box Relocation Issue
Camaro5 Forums

My Camaros alternator failed a few weeks ago, and I thought it was a good idea to finally relocate my fuse box to inside my glovebox. Finished up, everything works well except I am having an issue with my brand new alternator. Alternator was charging the battery very sporadically, while test driving, pretty much constantly draining the battery voltages. I checked all grounds, all new wiring, fuses etc. nothing would work. So as a last Hail Mary I decided to unplug the 2 wire harness connector that is on the back of the alternator so it can default to its 13.8 commanded voltage. Boom. Car is a ..read more

Is anyone running 275/35/20 with MRR017 (+23 offset) on an MRC SS? If so, have you experienced any rubbing issues? What brand/model tire are you running??? I am currently running Atturo AZ850 285/30/20's on my MRC SS with MRR017 Wheels (+23 offset)... Is anyone running a similar setup with 275/35s? I'd ultimately like to go to 275/35 up front and 315/30 in the read but I'm very concerned about clearance on the fronts with the suspension... Any input would be greatly appreciated ..read more

Life is not easy (DIY oil change)

It's just the second oil change at 5000 miles. The first one the dealership implemented for free at 2000 miles. I tried to remove the oil filter using an oil filter wrench, but it did not work. It was super over-torqued. It really frustrates me. :mad2: Finally, using an adjustable plier, it figured out. Some dealership technicians have no brains. Attached Images         ..read more

Help for a Newb...

Ok, So I've finally decided to have a gaming computer built, and I've been struggling with monitor set-ups.... Full transparency, I'm looking for flight sim, and racing sim games... So, I was thinking a big curved screen, 49 inch, 32:9 aspect ratio... That was quickly ruled out after a trip to Best Buy and about five minutes of looking at the display with a looped video proved it wont wok for me. :barf::barf::barf: I also cant play first person shooter games even on a flat screen as it causes motion sickness very quickly. I worked offshore for many years, rode out many storms, and cant hack ..read more

Mag ride benefit on the track - is it an active suspension?
Camaro5 Forums

So I've heard a lot of questions about MRC benefit in the general (and whether it's worth it), but the conversations always seem to only account for the usual soft vs stiff in everyday driving. And I know that GunMetal was recently relaying some of his experience with track performance before and after switching away from MRC, but his comments didn't address (at least to my level of curiosity) weight transfer and related balance. I'm left wondering about whether MRC actually provides an "active suspension" effect roughly similar to what was outlawed in early 90s F1 as a result of Williams dom ..read more

New Dyno numbers/ gained power from valve springs

Attachment 1150681 Long story short I put conical springs (supposed to be good for .650 lift)on my heads when I rebuilt the engine because my oil pump came apart. I ported the heads, done Gpi drop in rods and pistons and cam motion stage 2 PD blower cam, katech oil pump. My car made 487 rwhp n/a with an msd intake on it. I put it on the Dyno again back in September last year and it made the same number. I recently developed a skip and it ended up being a broke valve spring. They have 10k miles on them. I replaced them with cam motion .660 dual springs. I gained 18 hpw and 9 torque peaked but ..read more
