Greetings everyone, This marks my debut on Reddit. About a year ago, I conceived a distinctive card game concept. I've meticulously crafted all the rules, established the game's structure, designed assets, and compiled relevant images. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of enlisting a developer from Fiverr who assured me of his capability to bring the game to life. After investing several thousand euros and hiring him, I discovered that the prototypes he produced resembled a variant of UNO, which deviated significantly from my original vision for the project. Subsequently, communication dwindl ..read more

How to develop an idea without experience?

I’m fully prepared to be laughed at, I’m sure this is a stupid question, but as someone who’s always been creative, I have a lot of ideas, some of which are out of the realms of my capabilities, such as ideas for games and game mechanics. Is there ever scenarios a developer will work with you to create an idea at some sort of share split (probably more leaning towards the developer of course). I’d love to work with someone or a group to create game ideas I have. I just don’t pick up development very easily however I haven’t lost faith in my ideas. So is that something that happens? submitted ..read more

I added a feature that allows the games of independent producers I select to be randomly displayed by placing a "steam deck" in the first scene of my game. Any thoughts?

Hey everyone, I've been making games for more than 5 years now and I think it would be nice to share with you some stats from my first game. So I released my first Steam game in 2020 on steam for about $5 (but most of the sales was during promotions at around $1), it's a simple 3D ragdoll-based platformer, 4 years after the game have: Reviews -> 104 (76% positives) Lifetime free licenses -> 3 243 Lifetime Steam units -> 846 Lifetime Steam revenue (net) -> $776 It was not a huge game, but still I spent around 6 Months to make it, so I can't tell it was profitable but it was a gre ..read more

I created a “mini games app” for all these small games I had created or played/enjoyed over years and finally released it in november. Its free and its got around 40 active users so far. Its got games that are easy and quick to just snack on and play. Aka Toilet games haha… Im opening up the app for any devs that want to add their mini game. It would load your html game as an embed so you can track usage with your adsense code or whatever you use. It has to be simple, easily playable, pg13. It would be mostly for your bragging rights and marketability for both of us. You can say youre feature ..read more
