Yes yes, Iron Wolves and something about shitty DPS, I know. And yet, I find the Cold merc indispensable when I'm leveling a new char. Why is that? Because they're very funtional with very budget-y self found gear. Just a simple combination of Stealth + Spirit RWs gets their FCR up to speed to keep mobs perma-frozen and shattering. Toss whatever shitty rare shield and a helmet you come across (maybe you get lucky and find a blue FCR circlet), or toss a cheap Lore helmet on them. First time I've done full playing on console. Doing this on the PS5 for the HC lvl99 achievement, as well to being only my second platinum since having a PSP at launch. Paladin, started out as holy fire all the way to completing the nm den. Then reset and started fana/zeal. That took me all the way through to my nm forge quest. Completed that, and started upping all the runes I'd been collecting. Had enough to make a spirit sword/shield, stealth armor, lore helm. Rare tri-res boots that weren't anything special. I've done Ubers before with a Smiter, but the last time I ran them, Baal killed me bc I couldn't keep up my smiting with mana burn and ran out of mana pots. I was wondering what I can do to remedy this in the future. Would Meditation work?
