Hi everyone. I’m an original owner of 2004 Mustang SVT Cobra, purchased August 2004. With the car being a “Classic” this year, I’m considering doing some improvements / modifications to it. At this point, the most likely one is .. lowering the car, using .. lowering springs. One aspect of the car which detracts from its appearance is the .. “tall” / large gaps in the wheel-wells. My latest dilemma. I started building the engine and about the first thing I find is that the EngineTech main bearings are missing the half moon part from the sealed package. You had one job.. That should have been a clue. So I put the EngineTech TTY head bolts in and torqued them to factory manual spec and one of them went plastic and turned easier than the other ones. I just ran a code check with my Auto Enginuity Scan tool. only one code comes up P1237 fuel pump problem. If there is a problem with the PCM shouldn't there be other codes ..read more

Hello, I'm wondering if it's possible to put a 10-speed transmission in a cobra while using the original supercharged 4.6l engine. I've seen someone put a 10r80 in a 04 Mercury Grand Marquis which has a 4.6l. I've seen someone swap their cobra with a Gen 3 Coyote and a 10r80 trans. I haven't found anyone that's actually done that swap and I'm curious. What would one need if they wanted to do that swap ..read more

well i have had the car 20 years now and it is time to freshen it up. just put in new carpet, door panels. painted the vert top bow(paint peeling off). pulled the seats out and soaked them in lithium leather love. and shaved down the fake pig skin and sanded them down(came out pretty good) put in new gauges(PSB1 by Innovate and oil pressure gauge) the PSB1 is amazing AFR, boost and shift light in one, leaving a pod open for oil press gauge. new tail lights and headlights. the MMR motor only... time to freshen her up ..read more

What is your opinion on the reliability of the 32V NA engines? I got ready to finish up the 32V engine for the '55 and there is now light rust in the cylinders from condensation (locked up) so it will have to come apart and should hone out okay according to the machine shop. I also have a good low mile (126K) 2011 crown vic that rolled hard that I could harvest the engine.
