Zitat von Davidnapo im Beitrag #10OK,make it number three for me on the RS. What is it about this bike that seems to find every nail on the road? Enough venting. This one was a roofing or siding nail. It was nearly centered on the tire and went in about a perpendicular to the tire circumstances as you'd ever hope to see. I lost no air at all coming home but that sure changed when I pulled the nail out.So here's the question. The tire probably has at least another 6000 miles left on it and the front is the same. The local dealer doesn't believe in patching tires. I have a patch on one of my tru ..read more

Thanks Peter. Actually I'd heard that the Cardo Edge works fine with the Neotec 3, whereas I'm struggling with my Cardo Scala Rider - I couldn't understand why, but just having googled some images I can see why now: the Edge simply attaches flat to the side of the helmet, whereas the Scala Rider has quite a cumbersome mount/clamp affair which has to extend below the edge of the helmet and back up inside... see:This is the only comms unit I've ever used, so I guess if this is a uniquely bad fitment I'm probably screwed. I only use it to relay GPS instructions, which it does fine, so I'm certain ..read more

here's a useful PDF explaining the difference between the old "banana" TPMS sensors and the new ones. It also explains which Schrader part to buy instead of being fleeced by BMW. These are on UK Ebay for under £80. They speak BMW out of the box. Apparently, Schrader cannot sell these to colonial types so you have to buy a generic unit that is not predisposed to speak to BMWs. The generic unit needs a belt of smart electrons to wake it up into BMWankersprechen mode. https://valleybmwriders.com/media/kunena...mentSensors.pdfhttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/355044700879There are a number of pretty pict ..read more

Zitat von wessie im Beitrag #2Zitat von Freddyfruitbat im Beitrag #1I've just splashed out on a new Neotec 3 helmet. It's great, but I want to fit my existing comms unit to it (a Cardo Scala Rider Q1). Now unfortunately Shoei want you to buy their bespoke built-in comms gadget, which while very pretty and neat, is a cool extra £300 - that's definitely not happening. But because the Neotec 3 has a very thick rim (for their comms), it's pretty hard to get my unit to attach (even with a glue pad rather than a screw clamp). If you've been there, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about! Before I ..read more
