Dreaded Oil Weep

It appears that the dreaded oil weep at the rear crank seal has begun. At this point it is sporadic, some days it’s a small drip and then nothing for several days. 2007 GSA 25,000 exactly!! Can’t feel any clutch slippage I’m a fairly competent at twisting a wrench, but splitting this puppy seems intimidating. How bad will it be and what service manual will be the best resource? Best Dash Cam?

I just crashed a couple of months back and I am dealing with insurance ****. Basically the other guy cut me off so I swerved to avoid and went down. He claimed that I was speeding and lost control all on my own. There were no witnesses so it ended up being 50/50. I learnt from that and decided to get a good dash cam. I am thinking of getting a go pro since they seem to have the functionality for it. They are not dedicated dash cams though so I was wondering if anybody knows a better one ..read more

Has anyone done a handlebar swap. I don’t like the sweep of the current r1300gs bars. I would like more sweep. anyone buy these AliExpress bars? It looks like they are already pre drilled. the Wunderlich bars are 375 plus you have to add and adapter which is even more. That’s outrageous and straight up thievery since they seem to be the only game in town compared to buying BMW branded bars. I thought the aftermarket was suppose to be cheaper and OEM makes me miss my Harley even more... Handlebar swap ..read more

2016 R1200GSA - 3,500 miles In the excitement of finally going for a REAL ride I installed my newly mounted Anakee Road tires and admittedly got in a hurry and installed the spacer bush on the right (incorrect) side and shoving everything to the left. Yes, I was thorough and torqued all the bolts including the wheel-speed sensor screw. It was not until I attempted to take the bike off the center stand that I realized there was a problem. At this point the front tire was locked up. After much... Bent the ABS/Speed Sensor Sensor Ring ..read more

Need help on reference for Bolts/screws rear foot rest 2017 1200 GS. I am having hard time to take one bolt/screw holding the rear foot rest assembly to the frame of the GS. And I just work on the left side (not even try the exhaust side yet!!!). I read there are a b..ch to take off. One went off, but the other one is not moving one hair, broke already the head of a T40 Torx!!! I will have to force it out with some kind of extractor but then will replace them (all of them and torque them... Bolts/screws rear foot rest 2017 1200 GS ..read more
