Hi, thank you for accepting me. I’ve had my 2021 plate Jeep Renegade serviced at a local garage. Oil change etc has been done; however, the garage is struggling to turn the change oil message and the oil light off. Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone else had this issue. It happened last year with the service light. I had it serviced and the garage couldn’t turn it off. Eventually it did just disappear on its own. I think they do have a dual mass flywheel. Have a look on https://www.bestpartstore.co.uk/jeep/re ... 7-flywheel A noisy clutch thrust bearing can sometimes be silenced by gently putting pressure on the clutch pedal, though that isn't 100% guarantee that it is actually the thrust bearing at fault. If the thrust bearing has problems you can usually bet your bottom dollar the entire clutch assembly is shot. Hi guys, i work at a car sales place. We've currently got 2 jeep renegades in. There 2016 reg 1.6 e torq. Both of them on idle have a noise from the gearbox area, the noise dissappears when foot is put on clutch. Im thinking either bearings in gearbox or dmf if these vehicles have one. Is there anything common? Have we fell unlucky with having 2 with the same fault or is this how they are? First place to check is the battery connections, then follow the negative cable to the main body earth. All those should be clean and tight with no sign of corrosion. Beyond that the source of the problem could be just about anywhere; from loose fuses, failing relays, to a worn ignition switch, to dodgy connections anywhere around the loom. If you're not confident with electrics yourself then I'd recommend finding a mobile auto-electrician and paying him to crawl around the car with his test kit.
