My heat stopped working and I took it in to get looked at. the repair tech showed me that a plastic white gear that is a part of the temperature blend door actuator broke off. They found the broken piece on the floorboard of the driver's side. they weren't sure on how to get too it and suggested replacing the entire HVAC system, which would run me about $4,000. I said no thanks obviously. But I would like to fix it to save the value of my car. My gf has a 2015 Latitude with 2.4L automatic. Only when it's cold outside (less than 30 degrees) her car starts and right after turning over makes a loud screeching noise for about a second or two, then stops. I have used AlfaOBD on my Durango and Grand Cherokee to change many settings without issues. I was attempting to change Fog Light dropout with high beams, and global down setting, along with programming a new key fob. I changed the setting for Fog light drop out, and then attempted to run the proxy alignment, but the BCM would fail every time. All other modules completed successfully.
