I bought a 2010 used in 2017 with 185,000km on it and by now it's got 290,000km. Runs like a tank, no error codes ever, I get an oil change once a year and spark plugs every 100k, coolant change (both obviously) every 3-4 years, transmission oil just now for the second time since I've had it. No EGR cleaning, no oil catch can, all stock. Very basic, zero error codes. On its' first HV battery still (third 12V since I've had it, now back on the OEM battery). Consumption has increased a bit, and I'm guessing the HV battery needs fresh cells in the next 2 years or so. No error codes ever.

hey all!! i’m currently looking to potentially buy a prius, and there are two going for around the same price. there’s an 03 with 128k miles on it for $3.7k, and an 08 with 192k miles on it for $4k. is the gen 2 worth $300 more? or should i play it safe and go with the gen 1 with less miles on it. i mean, they’re both toyotas so they’ll get plenty of miles, but what would y’all pick?

Hi All,
Do you guys have any engine oil recommendation? I live in Auckland and I got a Prius 2010 with 145k mileage in it.
Thank you.

Turned on my prius and ended up with these lights. There's also a (what I think is a relay) switching on and off, on for 1 second, off for 3 second and back on. How cooked am I?

Travelled 913.2km. The dashboard still estimated another 98km of range leftover; a conservative estimate since I travel further than it ticks down. Pumped to full 26.85L. The dashboard estimated 933km range after pumping.

Simply put, I’m interested because of its mileage and I could get one for 5k or much much lower. Obviously I would own and regularly use this car for at least 5-6 years before I consider replacing it. I’m aware about the potential battery issues and would be happy to spend a couple thousand to replace it if it’s makes it dependable, I’m a senior in high school and don’t know much about cars but I don’t have a great budget, is this a smart choice to get such an old hybrid? Also, is it ok to buy something that’s gone beyond 200k miles?

I have a 2017 Prius two , that is not a prime or plug-in.
I’m trying to figure out if it’s nickel or lithium. Does anybody know?
