I got a 2017 Prius Prime Advanved for $20,200. I think it was a decent deal as the dealership offered 20k. I had a 2009 prius and there's no comparison. I hope this car lasts me another 10 years plus. I'm buying a 2017 Prius Prime. I'd like to get the tax credit. I think my AGI would be very close this year. According to the IRS I can use 2023s taxes and I'd be close for my AGI. However I'd I register the Prius in a family members name and have them "gift" it to me would I still qualify for the tax credit? I just passed 1000 miles on my 2024 today. I got it on April 8th. I still have 7/8 of a tank of gas. At this rate, I'll need to fill up the tank for the first time around 8,000 miles! Will this car flip over to engine mode after a certain time to keep the engine from sitting unused for too long? Went out to the country for a nice drive today. Spring air, clear roads, sunshine. And with the winter tires off, stayed on electric most of the way. When you are not running the heat, (or air conditioner yet) and seat heaters etc. its all so much more efficient. I haven't driven in over a month (knee replacement last month) so getting out was a real treat. I have had to let others drive me around and allow them to drive my sweet ride and trust them to take care of her. Hi, after 6 months of waiting I was fortunate to get a 2024 Prius Prime XSE with solar panel roof one month ago. The car drives great and I'm very happy with the range of the EV mode for city driving. I've barely touched the full tank of gas after putting 550 miles on it. However, I can't believe what a nag this car is. It constantly beeps at me for everything. Toyota needs to read up on alarm fatigue, because the constant beeping has become meaningless.
