Greetings, My son's old Sentra (185K miles) recently picked up a new problem that I can use some help troubleshooting. All of the instrument panel gauges and I suspect some of the idiot lights are non-functional now, and if I scan for OBD codes, I get a 1001 code. According to my son, this problem used to be an intermittent thing that would happen occasionally, that he would "fix" by shutting the car off & restarting. Hello new member here. My 03 sentra 2.5 began idling rough and now it will not start. I have checked the fuel pressure, compression and spark and all seemed fine. On my 2018 Sentra Nismo my doors will not unlock when I shift into Park. This is the only car I’ve ever had that does not do this. My doors unlock automatically when the car is turned off. There is no option to change this setting. My wife’s 2019 Rogue does have a menu option for this setting. So why doesn’t mine have this option? I got a free 2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8S from a friend with a paltry 99,000 miles on it and it's surprisingly rust free (I live in the rust belt so this is rare to say the least!). I have been trying to get it into good running condition. I did the usual first steps like a proper OEM tuneup (Hitachi coil on plugs, etc.) and it seemed to help it a bit....but the real issue has been it not starting right up when warm, it starts first shot every time when cold. "Auto" A/C mode only sets fan at lowest speed. Have to set speed manually. True in extreme heat or cold. Makes remote start pointless. Is this just something I have to live with ..read more
