Houseboat plays a vital role in promoting tourism in Kashmir. A stay in a houseboat can make your trip to Kashmir truly memorable. These houseboats stay at the same place as they are anchored to the lakeside. They provide all the necessary amenities like a hotel, such as hot/cold water, electricity, toilets, dining area, separate bedrooms, etc. There are either 3 or 4 double bedrooms available in each houseboat.

I’ve been to Kashmir many times and even visited places that most people skip. But my houseboat experience was truly relaxing and it’s worth seeing the sunrise here. Houseboats are the most talked-about and authentic part of local culture. Shikara and Dal Lake are the eternal combinations and star attractions in every Bollywood movie shot in Kashmir.
