Anyone know exactly what the little spanner light means and how to reset it?  Best info I have so far is that this is the service interval light.  The trouble is I don't know how to reset it.  Instructions given say, press and hold the odometer button.  There isn't one.  There's the "display" button on the steering wheel but that does not reset the little orange spanner warning light.  ..read more

Hi all RAVVERS, I have been reading stories via social media and internet about the current series of XA50 RAV4's being stolen by removing/damaging the head light and or pulling out the front bumper/nose cone near the headlight area. Once they get in, they access a "canbus" wiring connection and do something where the car security unit is fooled that it is being unlocked and started by a legitimate remote key. Hello , I have a toyota rav 4 2005 model , 2.4 litre 5 speed . I started a job to change both the rear hubs , as I am getting a bit if noise coming from the rear of the car while driving. The car has done 262 thousand klms . Anyway I managed to change one side fairly easy , the only slight problem was the 30mm nut on the axle was very tight but I got it with a 1000mm breaker bar. Now on the other side , it seems like the splined axle is really stuck  to the old hub. Of course the 4 14mm nuts are off the hub , but I can just not seperate the hub from the axle. Not sure if anyone can help but the RAV4 (2020 hybrid model) screen kept asking to ‘update’ the suite. Tried to do this without success and now the map has disappeared and the ‘navigation’ icon is no longer illuminated and can’t be selected.
