I have a 2017 Ford explorer sport, engine doesn't seem to get up to temp unless I drive it. Autostart it, 20 minutes later its only 1/4 of the way warmed up and doesn't go any further unless I drive it. It sort of defeats the purpose of autostart if it doesn't get warm. I feel like any car should be able to get to temp from idling. I've never had a car I had to drive in order for it to get to temp. 2017 Ford Explorer Sport, 48K Miles. After idling for a while and getting hot, then needing to accelerate hard, will flash the check engine light, and stop the AC. The car will accelerate very poorly until restart. This generally happens around 4,000 RPM. I can slowly bring the engine speed up to around 5K rpm, then accelerates OK. Any thoughts? I have a 2010 Ford Explorer, and we had 5 codes pop up when the CEL came on. Took it to the local auto repair place (A Napa certified place) they replaced all 4 O2 sensors and an EGR, which are what the codes were 4. 2 days later, the CEL was back on, same codes. They said the EGR valve was bad, and replaced it. 3 days and boom, same codes.
