I ended up trading my 21 RAV4 Hybrid XSE in for a 23 Tacoma MT back in Sept, paid 2-3k more for the truck but the car was paid off. Well was looking at cars for a friend and ended up seeing a 23 Prime XSE (no P/P) with 24k miles on a dealers website. A quick phone call and negotiation later, we made a deal. As the title implies, I'm considering doing something a bit wonky with the lease buyout process and I'm not entirely sure if it's possible given the tax implications. Right now in my market the XSE w/PP is on a long waiting list, whereas the SE w/WP is available today. So I live in IA but have family in CO and I see CO has better inventory and better tax credits. In fact it looks like they have $5k in instant Lease Tax Credits on top of the $6.5k instant Fed tax credit. So I noticed in HV mode it tells you your lifetime mpg. Would it be somewhat accurate to assume that you could get how many EV miles from this? Total miles/total mpg = gallons used. Gallons used x 35 mpg gives you approximately how many miles you've done with the engine. Subtract that from your total for ev mileage. Making some assumptions, but thought I'd share since I've seen complaints about how it doesn't track the EV mileage vs HV mileage.
