Hi there. I just came back from a 2-week vacation to find my 2020 RAV4's battery completely drained. I called up the Toyota service center and their Service Manager is saying that this is totally expected of most modern cars. In fact, he says, they charge up their brand new showroom cars every 1-2 weeks because they're not being driven. This is very strange to me because I've never had this issue with any other cars, with longer trips. I found the above car 6 hours away from where I live. In reviewing the service records I noticed that the engine oil cooler line (s) were replace/repaired at 6,000 miles. Will this be a problem now or anything to be concerned about? Also, this car was affected by the recall involving the rear suspension arms. Two were replaced (I think) and epoxy was put on them (not sure how to word it). Will this be a problem in the future or anything to be concerned about? Hey everyone, was hoping you might be able to give me some guidance around the roof capacity of my gen 3 rav 4 2012 that I plan on driving around Australia for 3 months. The 2012 model supposedly has a roof capacity of 102.7lbs (46.2kg) and the roof top tent I intend on purchasing is 40kg total. I have Thule evo wing bar roof racks which claim a load capacity of 220lbs (100kg) Assuming that that weight limits that Toyota and Thule supply are for dynamic load only, will it be safe for me to sleep in the roof top tent when I way 180lbs (80kgs approx) + a mattress upgrade 10lbs (5kg) and a pillo ..read more

We are doing oil changes every 5k on our daughter’s’ RAV4. We take it to our dealer every 10k and do ourselves every 5k. So we went to a Toyota dealer, not the one we normally use because we were right by it, nd after waiting 10 minutes in line they said they need the VIN to give us the oil and filter. It’s a 23 gas RAV4. We had it on our insurance paperwork, didn’t have her car with us, after waiting another 15minutes waiting we just left. Hello! I have a 2013 Rav4 Invincible with all the bells and whistles of the time and I love it, however I wish I could have a modern dash with more precise info about the car (like the actual speed I'm going at) as well as directions on there rather than me having to glance at my head unit when unsure. My head unit at the moment is an Alpine ILX but planning on getting the new Sony (xav-ax6000) when it's available. What would you lot recommend? Cruise control - I couldn't reactivate cruise control after dropping friends off at the airport when back on the freeway. I could hit the button to turn the cruise system on/off, it would display the "radar cruise control active" messages and "radar ready" and lane icons showed up, but pressing the down button to set the speed would never actually activate it.
