Yesterday while I was on the freeway in my 21 Rav4 Prime I ran out of ev miles. The engine Icon lit up but the engine failed to start supplying power to the wheels or battery as it normally does. The battery charge indicator needle almost reached zero before the engine kicked in. Has anyone else experienced this and what was the result? Thanks ..read more

Current long term Toyota Tacoma owner looking maybe to add a RAV 4 Prime to the stable. Which will require me to sell my 2016 Corvette, that I love, but just don't use much. With used Vette prices being high making that swap would also leave me with $$ left over. And let me stop daily driving the Tacoma so it will last longer. Any advice to a would be buyer? My son ordered a Rav4 Prime on February 3 2022 here in upstate New York how long would you say the wait time is? He called his dealer few days ago to ask if they have a build date or tracking number. His dealer told him they don't get tracking numbers for builds. They said it comes through Toyota for an allocation that allows them to see the build date, port departure/arrivals, etc ..read more

So I decided to look into appraising out super White 2021 Rav 4 Prime SE with the weather package ONLY in a dealership trade in. The car has 1 in parking lot type of accident, 7,000 miles and near mint condition they are offering 42,000 trade in value. We paid 42,256 MSRP when we bought in in September of 2020. we were going to trade it in for the Blizzard Pearl 2022 XSE FULLY loaded premium package with every option. My question is with the hybrid mode on my RAV4 prime, 2022. It seems to work great with electric motor, and the motor runs fine, but when I’m going down the road anywhere between 30 miles an hour and 75 miles an hour, it seems like it is continually attempting to charge the battery, and while the battery will attempt to participate occasionally throughout the trip, it will only do so for a couple seconds and then it returns to charging the battery.
