Hey folks – be great if I can get some help/advice from the forum with an adblue filling problem.  My GF has a 66 plate Q5 – she recently told me the adblue countdown message (which started at 1,000 mile to go) was saying 400 miles so I decided to do the refill assuming it was easy job ! Her records aren’t that good but we think it was last filled by her garage  around  Oct 2023  since which she’s done about 4,000 miles – of which quite a high %age are short journeys. From the owners manual, various forums etc I think the tank is 23L capacity and it should have used around ..read more

Hey new here and need solutions asap if at all possible. Long story short, car got repossessed and while in that process the recovery company somehow broke the outside driver door handle to where it no longer had tension while opening the door. I watched a few videos and found out how to remove the inner panel. Once the panel was off I realized I couldn’t access that outer handle area and was pressed for time. I then reinstalled the panel and shut the door. Now the panel is back on and I am now unable to open the door from inside nor outside. How to do I -A remove the panel again with the door ..read more

Widow maker jack

I've sourced a collapsible spare wheel for my Q5 and now need a jack. The standard Audi jacks are commonly called widow makers because they are considered by many to be inherently unstable and unsafe, the design resembling half a scissor jack. Has anyone acquired an alternative, perhaps a scissor jack? The disadvantage will be that it's unlikely to fit the foam cutout in the boot, but I'd prefer to have a jack I can have some confidence in ..read more

Collected my Q5 this week. Early impressions.

After a lot of research (too much probably) I traded in my Audi A4 2.0 tfsi Avant of four years for a 23 model Q5 Tfsi. You never know whether a car is right for you until you've had it a while but early impressions are positive. I knew the Q5 had over 65 ps more than the A4 but thought the extra weight would blunt most of that power. I was wrong, this thing really flies with little throttle input and I have to constantly watch my speed. The refinement is at least as good as the A4 if not better, very impressive. The surprising thing is that I actually find the Q5 easier to drive than the A4 ..read more

Boot opening by itself

Quite a number of times I have returned to my Q5 to find the boot open. Initially I thought I had activated the fob inadvertently, but yesterday it opened as I approached the car and was some distance away. Today I woke up to find the boot was open again. The fob doesn't seem sensitive as it takes quite a force to depress it. Anyone else experienced this and have a solution please.   ..read more

Hey. Collected an Audi Q5 2.0 Quattro yesterday. Diesel, auto.  Drove it 40 miles home, got into it today and the EML came on. Spoke with garage, they’re happy for me to take it back to them on Monday morning for them to sort - he said he spoke to one of the technicians who said he thinks it’s potentially a O2 sensor issue.  Car feels fine, no lag, and drives what I think it normal.  We have a mechanic friend coming tomorrow who is going to plug it in and see what’s going on.  The tech at the dealership said because the vehicles potentially been standing for a few weeks he ..read more

Low boost ?

My sq5 has developed a low pressure boost fault after a serious fuel ( diesel ) leak. The injectors were all changed and the car seemed OK until about one month after. The glow plug indicator on the dash lights after after a long acceleration putting the car into limp mode. Two solenoids at the front of the engine have been changed after they failed a smoke test. One of these is to do with cooling and the other the main turbo. The problem still exists but it doesn't show when short burst of acceleration are used. Losing my mind with it now.  ..read more
