Hello, I bought an air conditioner 24000 btu Inverter. The indoor unit makes strange noises/sounds at night. The pattern is as follows: First, wind blowing and cooling are reduced to 80%. (Similar to fan mode) Then the sound (sound in the video) comes a few times and then everything returns to normal. Wind blowing and cooling will be normal and will not be a problem. No sound comes out of the unit. Please watch the video. thank you ..read more

Good morning all, I have a 2500W Vax pressure washer, almost 3 years old, but only light summer use, could be described 'as new'. Pressure washing the decking the other day, Mrs wanted to cut the hedge so I let her use the long decent quality outdoor extension, I used a short indoor extension instead, shortly after the pressure washer stopped working, no drama, just stopped. yes, I now know, two mistakes - inappropriate extension cable and 2 high draw appliances on the same circuit. Upshot -... Read more ..read more

Hi everyone. The title should sound crazy enough, but it's what happening in my 72-years old home we've purchased 2 years ago. I found the crazy wiring when I was just troubleshooting on a lighting which has been flickering, and finally completely failed recently. I recognized the lighting is currently hooked on the 50 amp circuit breaker which is also serving for dryer, gas water heater, washer, several power and lightings. By opening the swith box, the wire gauge seems either 14 or 12 AWG... Read more ..read more

Hello, I have an all-in-one washer/dryer unit and it is giving me error codes. I have the manual that describes how to test the various components on the control module, but the introduction to the Component Testing Procedures section has me a little confused. It seems to contradict itself by stating that I need power attached but need to make sure no power is attached. Honestly, I just plan on testing the resistances and for that I know I'm not supposed to have power, but in some of the... Read more ..read more

Wiring to new dishwasher causes garbage disposal to stop working. I just installed a GE dishwasher and came across a problem with the current wiring. I replaced a Maytag dishwasher that was hardwired to the romex comming out of the wall. The video to install a dishwasher shows how to attach the black, white, and bare wire but my installation had a red wire attached to the black wire comming from the wall. I decided the red wire was not necessary so I put a wire nut on it to cap... Read more ..read more

I have a towel dryer on an interior wall in my bathroom, wired off the last stop in my loop of bathroom outlets. This thing has been installed for 6 or 7 years without issue but recently the GFCI outlet that starts the whole loop started tripping and it got worse to where now I can't get it to reset unless I disconnect the dryer. For fun, I tried just removing the ground from the dryer's wiring and that will allow me to reset the outlet but of course that's not a safe solution. Any ideas... Read more ..read more
