Control board blows as soon as machine is powered on.

I found the control board to have burnt out components on it. So ordered a new board. Before installing the new one I did some checks: 1) motor windings - fine 2) motor capacitor - fine 3) compressor windings - fine 4) compressor thermal switch - fine 5) turned power on WITHOUT control board - nothing blew the fuse so I presume no fault to earth 6) water pump - took it out and hooked it up to 240v, it worked OK but was only drawing half the rated wattage (drawing 7w instead of 14w) After doing these test I decided it was safe to install the new board. As soon as I powered it on I heard a cra ..read more

Ariston Hotpoint AQGF - F-02 error

Hello, My Ariston Hotpoint AQGF 149 has been displaying a f-02 error code for the past few days. What happens is the following : The program starts, and water fills up. The motor tries to make the tub turn, but only rotates by a few degrees, producing a clunk noise. This goes on for a few minutes, at which point : * Either the machine displays an f-02 error, empties itself, and releases the door lock. If I want to run the machine again, I need to unplug it for a minute or so and back again. * Or the machine goes on to the next cycle (probably the wash cycle compared to the previous "soak ..read more

Portable induction hob

I have an Aobosi 2 plate induction which is not heating on one side. It recognises the fact it has a saucepan on it as there is no EO error, but all that happens is the relay keeps clicking. I have swapped the coils across so the fault is definitely on the pcb, and I have swapped relays which makes do difference. I have been around the board taking resistance readings and everything looks the same. The only conclusion I can think of is a faulty microcontroller. Anyone had a similar fault and managed to solve it, any help appreciated ..read more

Bosch Oven HBC84E653b/04 cutting out after 30 secs - no capacitor to discharge??

I have seen several posts on this microwave oven where the timer functions for 30 secs with no apparent heating then defaults back to 1min. The conventional part of the oven works. The fault appears to be either the Magnetron or the Inverter board from what I have read. However on trying to follow standard advice to make the oven safe to work on I cant find (on the exploded diagrams) any sign of a high voltage capacitor to discharge to render the circuit safe. Do these Invertor models not have such a high voltage capacitor or is it on the Invertor board or elsewhere? Any help will be gratefull ..read more

Hi all, newbie here so apologies if I am posting in the wrong place. The house I recently bought had the above dishwasher installed but no manual. I've never had a dishwasher before so I'm pretty clueless. Is there any possibility someone has a manual they could scan and email to me? I've checked the manuals online website and emailed Creda themselves but no luck. Many thanks for any help Gilly ..read more

Neff oven no heat and main fan not working

Hi all I have a Neff B1432N2 GB /05 electric fan oven. It went pop the other day tripping the house fuse box in the process. My immediate thought was that the heating element had failed, again ( last replaced 3 years ago). Upon checking it’s open circuit. I fitted a replacement but it hasn’t fixed the problem. There’s power going to oven as clock is on, but no heat from new element or top grill if I turn that on. The rear fan isn’t working either (spins very freely by hand, no sticky points) just the top one comes on. The oven is now sitting safely disconnected with the back off. Where do I g ..read more

I'm helping someone with their oven - they replaced the main oven (top) element - and now every setting on the selector knob which uses the fan does not heat up. It is a double element with 2 gray return wires, a blue wire, and a yellow wire. At present it has each of the 2 loops in the element with a return and either a blue, or a yellow. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this model ..read more

Miele G5222SC detergent dispenser problems?

Good evening all. I have a three year old Miele G5222SC dishwasher and the detergent dispenser lid that slides up to drop the detergent tablet into the machine has broken. Lid has come off. It's the second time in two years it's happened. First time was a warranty claim. But now it's out of warranty and it's down to me. It seems there's several different versions if the part, all of which are superceded except one. I suspect Miele have a problem with this part hence the several versions. It's part number is 10505507. I'm happy to buy one even at £108. But I can't see how the dispenser is rem ..read more
