Trust me. I know the risk of writing a headline like that and the repercussions I will face on Twitter if the Phillies lay an egg in the month of May but at this point, I fully expect this team to handle business against bad baseball teams.  The month of May is shaping up to be a ‘cake walk’ for the Phillies, with only one team on the schedule that holds a winning record – the Texas Rangers at 17-15. Phillies Schedule in the Month of May: 4 Games – San Francisco Giants – Home 2 Games – Toronto Blue Jays – Home 4 Games – Miami Marlins – Road 4 Games – New York Mets – Road 3 Games – Washin ..read more

You know you have a superstar on your roster when even their bad games somehow look good in the end. We witness it constantly with Joel Embiid and Phillies Ace Zack Wheeler proved to be no different yesterday against the Los Angeles Angels.  Wheeler labored through five innings yesterday in Anaheim, allowing five hits, an earned run, and a walk while striking out six.  That was enough for the Phillies, who took the finale against the Trout-less Angels 2-1, earning their MLB-leading 21st victory this season while wrapping up a very successful 7-3 roadtrip. The Fightins are now 21-11 o ..read more

Seranthony Dominguez and the Philadelphia Phillies let one slip away last night, snapping a four-game winning streak with a 6-5 loss to Mike Trout and the Los Angeles Angels. Current National League Player of the Week, Alec Bohm, stayed hot last night, knocking home Kyle Schwarber and Trea Turner in the top of the first inning to give his team an early 2-0 lead. It could also reignite a potential matchup between Bryce Harper and Hunter Strickland. Recap: During the 2017 season, Hunter Strickland hit Bryce Harper with a pitch. The Philadelphia Phillies, guided by two home runs from Bryson Stott and another from JT Realmuto, completed the Sunday sweep of the San Diego Padres, winning the finale 8-6.  Taijuan Walker made his first start of the 2024 MLB season and in typical fashion, labored through 6.1 innings, allowing eight hits and six earned runs, walking two and striking out four.  Note: Walker’s four-seamer, topped out at 91.1 mph – which aligned with what he was throwing in his rehab outings and during Spring Training – down nearly 2 mph from what he consistently threw last season.  Bryson Stott ..read more

We all know John Kruk is one of the best color analysts in the business, but he added another legendary moment to his collection while the Phillies took on the Padres Saturday night. Krukker took a moment to share a story about a spring game against a prison baseball team down in Mexico, and it may be the wildest tale he’s told in the booth in his illustrious career.
