On Sunday, the Dodgers unloaded their new top three batting order onto a spring training game for only the second time during the offseason play. The three-headed monster includes three MVP winners: Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani, and Freddie Freeman. Between the three, you will find: three MVP awards, three World Series rings, a total of 24.8 WAR in the previous season, a sum of 112 home runs in the previous season and a batting average of .314 between the three in the previous season. During the game against the Rockies, the three went for a combined of 7-for-9 with four RBI, three runs, and on ..read more

Spring training is here

Look! Over there! Is it a crowd surrounding Superman? No? Is it fans asking for Taylor Swift’s autograph? No, its the Dodgers and the many stars they have on the team. And its only spring training? Madness. Over the weekend, I took a trip down to Camelback Ranch in Arizona. The spring training home of the Dodgers and shared with the White Sox. On Sunday, Los Angeles faced the Oakland A’s during an exhibition game as the teams prepare to start the season. With the A’s in town, a friend of mine and I had a little wager going on. How many “SELL” shirts would we see. We set the line at 15 (a littl ..read more

Dodgers self-proclaim rookie Shohei Ohtani entered the batting cage for the first time since elbow surgery. Its the day after the Super Bowl and that is basically the only news I can report about. During his time in the in the batter’s box, Ohtani took 21 swings, hitting 10 out the park. Since reporting to spring training, the Dodgers and Ohtani have been firmed that he will be ready for opening day in Korea against the Padres. Obviously, as previously mentioned, Ohtani will not be pitching this season. When asked how he felt after taking a few sings, Ohtani said, “I felt like the swings were ..read more

The Dodgers Evil Empire

The Dodgers are embracing the “Evil Empire” moniker that the team has earned this offseason. The players know there’s a target on their back. Any chance any team in the league has an opportunity to embarrass the billion-dollar-free-spending Hollywood stars, they will. What better than to beat them on the field?  During an interview at Dodgers Fanfest Mookie Betts said, “Every game [against the Dodgers] is going to be the other team’s World Series.” After being swept in the first round of the playoffs last year by the World Series-bound Diamondbacks, the Dodgers have spent $1 billion dolla ..read more

James Paxton signs 1-year deal with Dodgers

by Anthony Solorzano

The Dodgers signed James Paxton to a 1-year deal as an insurance policy for the rest of the pitching staff. He last pitched for the Boston Red Sox. Paxton finished the 2023 season with a 7-5 record and an ERA of 4.50.  Paxton last finished a season with an ERA under three back in 2017 with the Seattle Mariners. His record that year was 12-5. He missed the entire 2022 season after a season ending LAT tear.  Clearly, the Dodgers are hoping to work the same magic it previously sprinkled on pitchers like Tyler Anderson and Andrew Heaney. We don’t talk about Noah Syndergaard. Paxton’s pre ..read more

The Chris Taylor situation

Remember Chris Taylor’s heroic catch in the outfield against the Milwaukee Brewers? Yes, the one during game seven of the 2018 National League Championship Series. The catch kept the runner in second from scoring and kept the Dodgers up 2-1 after the fifth inning.  Who can forget Taylor’s walk-off home run to close the wild card game against the Cardinals in 2021 to advance to the National League Divisional Series and face off against the San Francisco Giants.  Taylor has been the Dodgers super utility man since the team traded for him in 2016. Since he signed his 4-year deal after t ..read more

Kershaw needs to come back to Dodgers

I don’t care how much money the Dodgers have spent in addressing their first-round playoff exits. Who cares if his last start in the playoffs he gave up six runs in .1 innings. It is irrelevant to state that he is coming off shoulder surgery and won’t pitch until after the All-Star break. Even after spending more than $1 billion dollars, the Dodgers need to sign Clayton Kershaw back to his annual one-year deals. What Have The Dodgers Done This offseason, the Dodgers’ front office has made it rain on multiple players. Shohei Ohtani signed a record breaking deal that guarantees he will be the DH ..read more

The rotation gets help from SoCal native Christmas came earlier for Dodgers fans as the winter of big spending continues. The Dodgers traded SP Ryan Pepiot and OF Jonny DeLuca for SP Tyler Glasnow and OF Manuel Margot. The trade was completed with a five-year, $136.5 million extension for Glasnow. The Southern California native answers some questions in the starting rotation while Margot solidifies the platoon situation in the outfield. Regardless of the amount of money the Dodgers have spent this winter, the work is not completely done. Starting Rotation As of now, the rotation consists of Wa ..read more
