The Netherlands: Leonardo Hotels, owned by Fattal Hotel Group, has entered into an agreement to acquire the Zien Group and its 12 hotels in the Netherlands from KSL Capital Partners and Garden Capital Group. Private equity firm KSL took a majority stake in Eden Hotels in 2021, with the Dijkstra family (which controls Garden Capital Group) maintaining a minority. The following year, Eden created a parent company Zien Group. UK: Real estate platform AENDRE Group, which will develop and create lifestyle aparthotels, has secured financial backing from private equity firm JuneX Capital Partners and co-investors New End. The Netherlands: Hybrid hospitality brand The Social Hub has created the TSH Talent Foundation, a nonprofit to support and empower individuals across Europe. The Social Hub will distribute one per cent of its annual turnover to the TSH Talent Foundation. Activities will launch in September 2024 with a pan-European scholarship scheme. UK: Alternative investment manager Ares Management Corporation, alongside its operating partner EQ Group, have acquired 18 hotels from Landsec. The portfolio consists of midscale and economy properties mainly located Central London, as well as Edinburgh, Manchester and Birmingham. Worldwide: Hospitality company Hilton has acquired a majority controlling interest in hotel developer and operator Sydell Group to expand the NoMad Hotels brand worldwide.
