Soooo, my wonderful newer-to-me RS with FBO, WMI, and E30 tune decided to turn itself into a diesel yesterday under reasonable driving with only 63k on the clock. Guessing it’s that wonderful LSPI some people have experienced. Since I bought the car a little over a month ago, the carbon fiber cover on the E-brake rattles/buzzes while driving. I tried removing and then reinstalling, but it seems like it's not a tight enough fit. I've tried shoving it on a little harder, and the sound disappears for 30 seconds, but comes back. It also goes away if you just hold it. Maybe just another excuse to get the drift stick :joyous: Anyone else deal with this, and have an easy fix? Seems like it should be better... Hi all, just looking for some practical advice. Original owner of a 2017 Stealth Gray Focus RS - since 8/2017 (38K miles currently). I have loved every minute of driving it - Best all around/all weather car I have owned. Great times have been had in it. 2nd gear started to become hard to engage at the end of last year, especially when just going easy on the throttle. Hey, I was wondering if the mazdaspeed6 transmission will bolt up to this motor with the transfer case? I'm asking because I have an 07 mazda3 I am going to AWD and was wondering if I could use the focus' system or the speed6's or even a mesh of the two So basically all I need to know is if the transmission and transfer case bolt to the engine and would work in theory. After many trials and tribulations, I decided to open my engine again. I will make some changes and one of these is the Athena Headgasket. As we all know the party started because the RS had a Mustang gasket. Now my Athena product is making me nervous because it says Mustang on it. I called the shop and they said they are identical and they installed dozens of these without any issue. I told the guy the OEM gasket had to be revised because they were not identical.
