Hello, I am looking for help on how to disable the autolocking on a 2000 ford focus se wagon. I have tried searching the forums and Google, but almost all the responses are how to turn the ignition on and press unlock or the handle 3 times to program it. That does not work on a 2000. I have read about a wire to cut behind the glove box, but unfortunately any page that shows that method is missing pictures or diagrams. I've ended up with a 2000 Zetec engine cheap on auction, both engine and manual trans, and I want to use it in an offroad buggy. I've got the harness trimmed down to what I need, but my issue currently is finding the best means to disable or bypass the PATS system to use the factory computer. Just bought 2014 Focus SE with about 121,000 miles. Put it throgh the paces to test. It ran and started great and on demand. The car however had three messages. One for TPMS, one for an 02 sensor and the other for Steering assist. I found that TPMS could affect the the steering assist sensor so I took the chance.
