Need Help Identifying Coolant Leak on 2012 Ford Focus

Hi everyone, I'm dealing with a persistent coolant leak in my 2012 Ford Focus. Initially, I replaced the antifreeze container since it's a common source of leaks, but that didn't solve the problem. To get to the bottom of it, I used an antifreeze pressure tester to pressurize the coolant system, and I've located a potential leak on the right side near the engine. However, I'm not sure what the component is. Could it be the thermostat housing? Here are some pictures for reference. Any insights would be appreciated! submitted by /u/g1yk [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

2017 Ford Focus SE transmission problems

I have a 2017 Ford Focus SE (automatic) with 121k miles on it. About 6 months ago my car would periodically not reverse when I started it and throw code for B clutch stuck engaged. This problem only happened about 3 times and would “fix itself” (about 8-12 hours later we’d try to start it and drive it and it would be totally normal). Then the symptom changed to my car randomly slipping/ not shifting smoothly while driving. We changed the actuator and got the TCM reset to no avail. Problems are starting to happen almost every time I drive it whether it be the shifting, not speeding up after st ..read more

Focus Mk3 Fog light replacement?

Couldnt really think of a better title- i have a 2014 focus se with stock fog lights installed. They're pretty pockmarked from 260,000 miles of interstate travel, and one of them just went out. Wondering what people think of some cheap-ish (less than $100) fog light replacements, or if i should try to get some better bulbs. In particular i'm kind of looking at the LED projector options on amazon, like these. Has anyone tried these or some similar cheap LED projectors? If not these, would you recommend LED bulbs or halogens? submitted by /u/xXWyatt101Xx [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Anybody ever done a manual swap on a 15 focus se?

Hi, has anyone ever done a manual swap on a 2015-18 focus se? My trans blew up as typical as the automatic is at around 153k and I'm thinking of putting a manual in it to make it a little more reliable. To fix the automatic it's gonna cost me around 2.5k and I'm wondering if a manual swap might also be cheaper. Really just looking for direction on where to start ?. I've already put money in performance on it so I don't want to get rid of it and I'm also entertaining the idea of making a track car ?. Any ideas?? submitted by /u/RepresentativeArm459 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
