Here's a video (from 8/2023) showing the issue we are having with our transmission When first driving our Touareg after it's been sitting unused for a week, the transmission slips for the first few seconds after startup. Hi all, I've got a frustrating issue with the driver's headlight on my 2015 (facelift) 7P Touareg (I'm based in Aus so my car is RHD)... Although I've replaced my xenon bulb twice and, along with the last bulb replacement, the ballast, my headlight intermittently works. I noticed on last few months when I going to start up it does like a weird metal sound mostly when the engine it's already hot, cold starts rarely happens, it seems like a chain that locks but it starts up and runs fine, no noises while driving... sometimes it does that sound and won't start at first try but it's rare, anyone already gone through this? Just purchased my first Touareg TDI (2013 V6) and want to know the consensus on proper startup procedure. Is is best to start the engine, allow oil to circulate for a few moments and then drive off slowly for a couple blocks or sit in the drive for several minutes prior to driving. Thanks ..read more
