Have a weird problem that we are having issues finding solutions for. We are working on a custom build that has a w12 swapped into it that is dealing with a no start issue. We are attempting to wire in the DLC to properly scan the vehicle to start tracking down what the actual problem is. North America VW techline says they can’t get Euro diagrams for us and we are struggling to source them, any help would be appreciated! The engine is out of a 2008 Touareg ..read more

Hello . I have a RNS850 on my T-reg 2012 . Since years I have an issue on this , I am unable to connect with diagnose to the RNS. At any attempt to connect, with any type of diagnose interface/software/versions , it's just rebooting . I've manage to activate green menu some years ago , but I've lost it somehow. Apart this, the RNS is performing normally , interacting normally with the other systems in the car ( climate control , wipers, instruments ). So I keep investigating , but I need... Lots of ABS codes

Hi there! Bought a dirt cheap Touareg (2003, 3.2 VR6), that i am slowly but surely fixing up. I am getting a whole ton of ABS codes and i'm wondering where to start. Since there are so many, and for example, it says that all wheel speed sensors are toast, i assume that it is a big and important part of the system that is malfunctioning? Like for example the ABS Module/controller/pump, etc. All codes can be seen below, anything related to O2-sensors and Camshaft position sensors can be... Lots of ABS codes ..read more

I have a 2005 v8 Touareg with air suspension and I keep getting the "fault running gear workshop" every time I turn on the car. The light comes on after about 3 minutes of driving. I ran the codes and it is pulling code 01780, a mechanical malfunction of the level control system sensor. What could this mean? I broke the axle and while it was sitting waiting for me to fix it the battery died. This is the work that I have done to it: it has a new battery, new front passenger side axle... I have a 2005 Touareg v8 with air suspension that I just bought and I’m trying to get it caught up on maintenance. I just replaced the timing belt and brake fluid. What other fluids need to be changed at what intervals? I know I am planning on doing the differentials, transfer case, and transmission but just want recommendations. Are there three diffs I need to change fluid in? (Front, center, and rear ..read more

Replacing One Tire

Hi, When getting my wife's Touareg back after having the summer tires put on, I noticed that there was sidewall damage to one of the tires. I have always hear that you should not take any chances with sidewall cuts and feel that the tire needs to be replaced. Luckily I bought the tires with road hazard protection. I know that for cars with full time AWD it is important to keep all four tires uniform. What is the general rule of thumb for a Touareg on when you have to replace all four... 05 Touareg 4.2 having some Power Steering leaks…

So I only last week successfully changed my engine oil for the first time. It isn’t nearly as difficult as I’d expected it to be… Just went slowly and carefully. I did not remove the upper drain plug. Just the lower plug and the filter housing. Yes, I realize I didn’t get all the old oil out of the engine, but I’ll likely change the oil again @ 5,000mi rather than the manual-specified 10,000, now that I know how to do it. Here’s my current Touareg situation: While under the Treg with... 05 Touareg 4.2 having some Power Steering leaks ..read more

Touareg 7P air suspension problem

Hello, I'm new to this forum. Year 2011 Touareg and I have something strange in air suspension. Somehow it all started for a reason or a coincidence after the tyre change. I put the suspension from the button to "jack mode" before the car was jacked up, at least I imagined I did it the way it should. After that, I started paying attention that the back of a car drops lower when the car is parked in the garage for a longer time, say more than a few hours. So soon or after a while you don’t...
