Folks
I'm finding myself wanting a bit more room in the boot than I currently have in the GTI. So I've a Superb, or possibly an Octavia estate on my shopping list. Petrol and DSG only.
I'm probably going to look at this one tomorrow:

I'm familiar with the need to check the 'full' service history, particularly around the drivetrain. But I'd be interested in any views or comments, good or bad, or if I've missed anything glaring in the ad ..read more

I had been thinking for a while about replacing my Qashqai with something smaller, perhaps a Golf or A3.
Our other car is a 73 plate Kodiaq L&K which we love, but recently it suffered a software/battery fault that meant it had a 3 week stay at the dealer. We were given a Scala Monte Carlo 1.0 manual as cover with 200 miles on the odo (not the new version) which impressed us enough to enquire about buying one when we went back to collect the Kodiaq. It was the only Scala they had so couldn't compare to any other.
Driving tends to be weekdays only with a 21 mile commute ea ..read more

Hi, currently thinking of going to test drive a 2021 Octavia 1.5tsi.
Got a few concerns and the main one is the infotainment system, have all the issue been resolved with the latest update? Any other updates I need to be aware of?
Would welcome comments regarding any other issues people may have had with these cars
thanks ..read more

I currently drive an automatic Toyota hatchback and my wife drives an automatic Subaru Forester. I need to upgrade my car so that I can ferry three kids and a dog in my car, rather than relying on my wife's car all the time to do the heavy lifting. The sensible thing for me is probably to get a Toyota RAV4, but I really hate how high the driving position is inside a SUV. Also the parking space at our house is rather limited and having two largish cars in the same space is a headache - it makes it difficult to get in and out of the house. Therefore, I have been seriously considering getting a s ..read more

Hi All
I'm looking to buy a used L&K Superb.
I have spotted one that ticks the boxes, looks legitimate with all the right spec, but when I put the reg in to Parkers or compare the market when looking at insurance, it shows as an Elegance.
I tested with a few other L&K's that were advertised elsewhere, and the all came back (on Parkers at least) as L&K's.
My question is, does the L&K show on the V5 or somewhere obvious and has anyone had a similar experience when getting insurance or buying theirs?
Obviously, I want to make sure that I'm, getting a legitimate L ..read more

looking to buy another skoda I told them I dont want finance, I dont want any extra car Gap insurance, Diamond brite treatments , Just want the car and pay the difference in cash.
Salesman said he needs my Date of birth to get the order form completed ??
Sounds well dodgy to me - more likely they are using a company called Automotive compliance who babysit the garages FCA compliance and I suspect will sell my data onwards.
I had this once before where a garage sold my details on and I was hounded by unsolicited calls and emails.
I have not agreed to give it to them as Im suspicious this ..read more

Not new to Skoda's Years ago I owned a 2006 Octavia 1.9 PD, loved it, engine was sweet, mileage used to average 55Mpg, but since then I ve owned a few other cars diesels and had issues with have made me alitltle more careful about buying a diesel, as the 2005 Skoda I had in the past had been very well looked after. Unfortunately about a year after owning the car a year lady decided to cruise into me turning right and did not wait and totalled the car. Ive never had the pleasure of owning a Skoda since.
Will not be buying something mega new probably looking at a Mk2, and currently ..read more
