Hello. We own a low mileage (33k) 2009 mk8 gen1 2.2 cdti Civic 5 door that my wife has had from new. She is thinking about changing it in the next year or two (waiting to see what the car market does) and was asking me about the CRV - so I thought I would ask you! So is there a certain one (from 2013 onwards) that is known to be the best bet? Diesel v petrol, reliability etc. I know we would be looking at an EX model as we would want a pan-roof and leather. Personally I find them a bit... Your opinion on another Honda model ..read more

Could it be that our CR-Vs don't have a parking light function? I know it from my cars before that when ignition is off and You put the turn indicator to left or right than the parking lights / position lights are switched on (front and rear) on the coresponding side from the car. Always found it usefull, especially when parking in dark areas without street lighting. And, Yes I checked the manual ..read more

Can anyone help, I have a 2011 Honda CRV dtec 2.2 I noticed that the fog light keeps blowing the fuse, I had to buy a new bulb connector as the one there was damaged(not sure why) I cut the 2 x black and 1 x yellow and red wires reconnected then to the new fitment, and it still blows the fuse, so I disconnected the 3 wires from the fitment so they were not connected to anything, and still it blows the fuse, I noticed though that when all disconnected the indicator bulb on that side was very... I am thinking of buying cr-v 2.2 diesel. I used to own gen 3 2.0 petrol but since it is sold i was thinking maybe getting the gen 4. I have some informations that the same 2.2 diesel engine is more economical on the gen4. Is this true? How can this be? I am looking at the gen 3 from 2012 and gen 4 from 2013. I was happy with the gen 3 but i guess the 4 it will be even better ..read more

Have just purchased a 66 plate CRV from a main dealer The tyre pressure warning light will not go out and the stop start would not work They have replaced the batttery with a Honda battery and the stop start issue has been solved. The tyre pressure light has stayed on so they have replaced the tyre they think it is relevant to and it went out for about 30 miles and is now back on. They have told me each tyre does not have it's own sensor and it is all connected through the ABS System but... Problem Tyre Pressure Warning Light Honda CRV 66 Plate ..read more

Hi, i've just made my dad a profile and I'm posting this for my him so after this it will be him who is replying . I'm going to word this post as if its him I've been suffering from a cough at above 3000rpm. i can accelerate hard from low rpm but once it gets over 3k it coughs. if i keep trying to accelerate it dies and will cut out. If i slightly let off and just tickle the throttle it recovers. If i leave it to die when restarted it will be in limp mode and won't go back to normal...
