I had a P0420 code and went to change bank 1 02 sensor. Pulled the old and found the 02 sensor I bought had the opposite connector. So l pulled bank 2 thinking I'll change that instead to see if that'll work. I see that I could connect both together, and for some dumbass reason thought it could trick the ECU. Well, I was wrong, now not only it the CEL on, so is VSA, ABS, BRAKE lights are on. Pretty sure I fried the ECU cause of this dumb experiment. Please help ..read more

I have a 2005 Honda CRV. I have replaced the axles four times and ended up going with Raxles. It’s still shaking. It starts at around 15 to 20 miles an hour and shakes faster as I increase the speed I have replaced all the motor mounts and transmission mounts. I have also taken the shaft out to rule out rear area. I have had the wheels checked and balanced and aligned. Not sure what to do. Next cost me a fortune and it’s still shaking. I feel it in the steering wheel and the front end ..read more

Long story short, i've just recovered from a misfire on my wife's 1999 CRV by replacing the ECU. I also replaced distributor, wires and plugs while troubleshooting. All fixed up and back on the road when i get crank position sensor code p0336. I then replaced the crank sensor, connector and tried yet another ecu to try to eliminate to no avail. Not sure how to proceed if everything is brand new? The car drives fine with a check engine light until trying to go slowly up an incline. It shudders at a low rpm until the road levels off then carries on as normal. What should my next move be? Any hel ..read more

Before I go back to those guys, I did the paper clip thing and got a code 2-8...two long flashes followed by eight short flashes then it paused and repeated the same sequence. I can't find the meaning to this code anywhere. Can anyone help with this. I'd like to be loaded with ammo before heading back to the dealer. UPDATE... took a flyer on usual suspects . 2003 CRV idle problems after replacing IAC valve and cleaning throttle body

Had a check engine light which gave out a code p0505. I checked the IAC valve which looked worn and replaced it with a new one. Now when I start the car it starts at a high idle (around 1.5k to 2.5k) before going down to around 1250 rpm and after about a minute it sounds like it’s doing short revs. Also when I’m around parking lot speeds the car starts jerking back and forth. Most google searches lead me to believe there’s a vacuum leak however after doing the carb cleaner test I can’t seem to find any. The engine light also didn’t go away ..read more

Hi guys, new to the forum. I'm seeking some guidance and advice. I have a 2005 Honda CR-V and want to swap in a K24a2 motor that I got from a 2006 Acura TSX. I have the motor, the ECU/PCM, the wiring harness, even the shifter and 6 speed gearbox. I don't plan on using the gearbox, but I do intend on changing my current 5 speed gearbox to the 6 speed gearbox from the 07-09 honda CR-V. It's my understanding that it should fit my year as well, however I am not 100% sure. So my question is, how straight forward is this swap? I think so far I've been told that the tsx was drive by wire, can I swap ..read more

I am a high school shop teacher, we took a lot of photos of the Honda engine before we pulled the head to replace a head gasket, but we need some help getting hoses back into the right place. Anyone have a good photo or diagram of the driver side of the engine? There are about a half a dozen hoses we need to make sure go in the right places. Unfortunately, almost all of the hoses are the same diameter, somewhere around 1/4" ID. Any help would be great ..read more
