I had cornering lights error come on, when i scan both side of vehicle saying issue left and right . i checked both lights are working fine.   than found out leveling sensor needs changing. i have change both leveling sersors still getting same error. what is next? change connecting wires or i need to do some sort of coding in order get new leveling sensors working?   any help much would be amazing thanks ..read more

Hi all, potential owner here and first post too.    I've settled on an R for my next car. I've been driving for 27 years and only ever owned 2x cars and the first I still have so I don't take these decisions lightly. I’m looking to replace the silver mirror covers on my mk7.5 R.   My car is black as I’ve seen another black R with black mirror covers and much prefer it to the silver ones.    i wondered what my options are? Are they colour coded? Hi All - just curious...if you had an R for 4 years, serviced by VW or reputable garage (so let's assume a normal / decent service), fresh tyres thrown on. Would you expect the power, acceleration etc. of a 4 year old R to be on par with the exact same R but brand new?   I know all mechanical parts wear over time and thus lose efficiency and power, but just wondering when you pull up a 60k miles 8 year old R against a 10k miles hardly-driven R in future - will you get blitzed off the line or is the drop in power negligible provided it's looked after. Involved in a bump yesterday, gutted after 4 years of ownership I think it’s a write off.    So 3rd party accepted fault and their insurance have instructed to deal with everything. Exhaust Flaps Not Working Just noticed that the exhaust sounds no different in S mode any more (DSG gearbox).  It still has the higher idle and hold the gear when accelerating but the sound is no different so I reckon the flaps aren't working.  Thankfully for the neighbours it's effectively stuck in the 'D' sound (i.e. no popping / farting) but bit of a pain nonetheless. It's going into VW on Friday for its 6mth health check so I'll be mentioning it, but wondered if anyone else has had the same issue and whether the fix is easy ..read more
