Hey y'all, I've been trying to find the correct top for my 91 YJ. Everything I find is to work with half doors and their soft uppers which requires a bar across the top of the door with snaps for the fabric to snap into. I ordered one that said "without upper doors" and I took that to mean that it was for Jeeps that have full steel doors. I was wrong. I didn't want the AC on my '87 YJ. Compressor doesn't have any freon, who knows why. I looked @ on line and found a GREAT posting about what a guy had done the same thing. So, I ordered the Dorman Air Compressor By Pass Pulley part #34237 on Amazon. Purchased a Dayco 5060805 belt he said he used. He cut the tabs off bracket, installed the shorter belt. Finally started working on it a few weeks back. Put in Amazon computer and started it up. I only ran it for about 30 seconds. Changed fluids new distributor, plugs, wires, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, fuel injectors, cps, map . Started it again and ran like crap. have a 91 YJ with 2.5L. Fuel injected. Have injector pile on two outer cylinders but none on two inner cylinders. Have traced wires all the way back to computer with nothing happening. Thought was a computer problem replaced the computer and still nothing. Was hoping someone might have run into this problem before ..read more

Always wanted a jeep, just recently purchased my 1st, a 1990 base model, 2.5L 5 speed. 117k on the odo. She runs and drives good but needs some TLC. Just finished my 1st fix. The gauge cluster was not working. Of course with my luck it wasn't any of the usual suspects (fuse, grounding, circuit board, etc) but I did finally figure out that the actual fuse box itself was the issue. Received my new axles from ECGS yesterday. Worked all day the day before putting a new winch on my trailer because I had no idea how else to get them unloaded and on the trailer. Very glad I did that, don't think it would have been possible without it. Got the trailer in the garage and calling it quits. That's enough for my new knee and old back.
