The Mangochi Senior Resident Magistrate’s Court on April 18, 2024 convicted and sentenced Andrew Sawabu, 37, to Seven years imprisonment with hard labour for committing robbery while his three accomplices await trial. A 30-year-old House Maid of Mazabuka’s Kapufi Compound has appeared in the Magistrate Court for allegedly stealing 45 000 South African Rands, clothes and household goods from her employer. The maid identfied as Febby Mapani stands charged with Theft by Servant, contrary to Sections 272 and 287 of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
