I purchased a CTK-601 secondhand earlier today and I'm running into an interesting issue with its built in Casio Cord mode. For anyone who doesn't know, Casio Cord mode is meant to play the corresponding cord for any note or set of notes you play in the left-most 11 notes. However, regardless of the tone I set the keyboard to, it only plays an electric organ sound in cord mode. It doesn't matter if I set the tone in normal mode then switch to cord mode. I don't have split mode on either. I've tried resetting the keyboard's memory but haven't found a solution. Anyone else run into this ..read more

Hello, new member here. Proud owner of the WK-7600. Is it possible to use the sliders during either playback of a custom accompaniment or recorded song on the different channels to mute parts during play? I'd like to use it almost like using a boss looper i have seen in videos and mute certain parts like bass and rhythm while playing along then push those sliders back as to add the bass and rhythm back in. if that makes sense. Kinda like a trance song mutes the percussion then at a certain point it punches that back in. I know i cant live loop on this but i could create a custom accomp. and du ..read more

Hi, I'm a noob here, so if I haven't searched or looked for the right resources, please bear with me.  My CTK-691 just stopped working with a 9V DC adaptor.  It works fine on batteries, but can't get it to go on the adaptor.  I can wiggle the plug around and get it to flash momentarily, but that's it.  I'm guessing the jack has a bad solder joint.  I know how to solder and am not afraid to take a look inside.  Just wondering what I get when I separate the two halves?  Assuming everything stays together?  Any tricks to getting the halves apart?  If a ..read more

i have  casio ctk-691 that was working fine but suddenly stopped working.  I press power button but  screen shows " PLS Wait " , Also none of the keyboard buttons and keybed keys working. Hi everyone. I have read the info on Casio about CTK and CTX. However, I don't have a clear idea of the differences between these two models. I am considering getting myself a CTK-7200 or CTX-700. Yet, I've begun a journey to discover numerous other sources of inspiration from this remarkable instrument. This go around I want to share that I found it in this particular preset. The Velocity Sine Lead is highly expressive and is thus an excellent choice for solos. When holding down the keys it has the unique attribute of vibrato.
