I guess it was inevitable. I now live out in the country. Land spreadin' out so far and wide! Keep Toronto, just give me that countryside. I see cows and horses everyday now. And lots of golfers. Go figure. We've wanted to get out of the city for a long long time.
Since we're here, i figured I oughta write about what I see. So I did. Hope you like it. I think the low end might be a bit too much but we'll see.

Hello ! I've got 10 synths and groove boxes, most of them with stereo outpouts (2 jacks) and one simple Roland mixer table with 4 stereo inputs (2 jack each) plus a few mono inputs (for mike, guitar...).
Id like to connect all synths to the mixer table so I can play any of them at any time without reconnecting cables.
My idea would be to connect several synths to each of the 4 channels of the mixer table...
But how to do that in the most simple , and "clean" way? Should I use a patch bay...

Friend had a beautiful pipe organ - a Yamaha, pedals included. Watched him play one day (magnificently, as always) he told me he only used the pedals rarely, because he had a switch on a side panel which automatically sounded a pedal note (one octave down from his 'left hand play', matched to the chord he was playing). Is this type of processor available in a footswitch ..read more

Hi there,
I have a Mark 5 that I purchased new >20 years ago, which until recently worked flawlessly. However, now I find that when I turn it on, all appears normal but no sound comes out - either from the speakers or if you plug in headphones. All lights are operating, I can make any selections I want using the buttons, etc. If I turn the volume slider all the way up I can hear the faint white noise I normally did. Otherwise there is no sound when the keyboard is operated, the Demo button...

Hello, I have a Roland BK9 and it seems so complicated. Is there anyone out there who can give me a lesson on how to get around this keyboard. I am willing to travel as I live in West Sussex. I am willing to pay someone for their trouble and would be very grateful.

Well I have had this keyboard for a few months and it has been very useful connected up to my iPad, the laptop and especially to my Wife’s Mac which has Main Stage installed on it.
I found that the software available with the Arturia to be very good, in particular the Rhodes emulator which I have played around with for hours.
Another piece of software that was available as a download was Analogue Lab which I did not use much but what I did use was impressive.
Then I came across Galileo 2...

I am looking for an allround synthesizer with max 73 weighted keys and easy to programm, not too heavy.... I'm thinking 8 kilos.
I own a Yamaha modx 7 which has tons of possibilities but I am not too pleased with the semi weighted keys and the piano sounds seem to stay in the keyboard, like not coming out sparkling. Is there a better option around? Any tips ..read more
