AUGUST PLANNER SPREADS

Month-At-Glance Since I will be spending a decent chunk of my August in Portugal, I figured it’d be fitting to ensure that my bullet journal reflects that — so you’ll notice throughout this video me writing a decent amount of the headings in Portuguese. The calendar is a smaller grid style with space at the bottom for me to highlight any major dates. Although this entire spread is probably the most simple of the spreads I create today, I really adored how it came out — I think the subtle playfulneess in the August title, the photo, and the sun doodle really give it that special touch. JULY PLANNER SPREADS

Month At A Glance Of all the month at a glance spreads I’ve created over the years, the two-page layout has consistently proved to be the most functional — some months I don’t need a lot of planning space in this area, but with the summer season comes along more socializing and an amp up in work deadlines so I wanted to have the real estate necessary for keeping track of it all. To create this calendar layout, I’m using the fine point tip of my black tombow dual brush marker. I made four columns on the left page and four columns on the right — equating to 8 columns for me to create a calendar ..read more

JUNE BULLET JOURNAL SPREADS 2022

Monthly Calendar After making the calendar, I used a green tombow marker to draw in leaves. I used 2-3 different shades of green for all the plants in this plan with me (using a few different shades helps add a bit of dimension to the doodle and, because plants are a natural thing, any imperfections I made only added more life to each doodle). Habit Tracking A 30-day month always gets me excited to create habit trackers, so much so that for June’s habit trackers, I decided to make all three take up an entire page. Each habit tracker for hydration, movement, and meditation has a 3 x 10 grid ..read more

BULLET JOURNAL SPREADS (MAY 2022)

Month at a Glance The right page is the spot for May’s calendar, and the left page is where I opted to create my go-to habits trackers (hydration, meditation, and movement)! The spread felt like it was missing something, so I whipped out my white gelly roll pen to sprinkle in some white doodles against the craft paper and I think those little bright sprinkles made a huge difference, and adds to the scrapbook look. I like the doodle-add-ins because it’s such a spontaneous process….you can’t anticipate where you might need a doodle, until you’re looking at a spread and feel like there are gaps i ..read more

APRIL 2022 PLAN WITH ME
Caitlin Da Silva Blog
by Caitlin Da Silva

Month At A Glance I sketched out some bold letters spelling out April with one of my go-to black pens, the Sharpie S-Gel. Once all the outlining was done with my black pen, I whipped out my mildliner highlighter in pink, and used the fine point side to fill in the letters with some colour. April really marks the beginning of a new season, so I was craving the use of colour in this month’s designs (you’ll see this pink be carried through all of the other spreads to tie everything together). I feel like colour is such an easy way to make a month’s pages feel cohesive and connected…..you still ge ..read more

How do you make decisions? Do you need to spend time with yourself or others to feel energized? What motivates you? These are the kinds of questions that personality tests can help you answer. In today’s blog post, I want to share some of my favourite personality tests that I’ve done over the years! Should you take your results as law? Probably not — there’s no confirming whether a test can truly take into account every aspect of your personality. However, these tests can be a great starting point for self-discovery AND a lot of fun ☺️   Enneagram Truit.com describes the enneag ..read more

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a photo album is worth…. thousands more? ? Poor blog post intro aside, there is some serious nostalgia that comes along with having photo albums in your home/room/dorm. They might not be as popular in 2022, but today I’m going to share the four reasons you NEED to get started on making one for yourself and your family! 1.    Flipping > Scrolling In a world where so many of us are accustomed to scrolling through the photo albums on our phone, there can be something so grounding about the experience of flipping through your albu ..read more

Unconventional Self Care Tips You MUST TRY

Self-care can come in many different forms, but sometimes our “go-to” methods of relaxing just aren’t cutting it anymore. It’s time to spice up our self-care life! Today, I’m helping you out by sharing some of my favourite unconventional forms of taking care of myself ❤️ 1) Declutter Your Intimates We all have those pair of panties/bras/socks that — if we’re being honest with ourselves — have seen better days. ? Take 30 minutes to go through your intimates drawer and say goodbye to the items that no longer serve a purpose in your wardrobe. This is a great way to also get a better idea of the g ..read more

MARCH 2022 BULLET JOURNAL SPREADS

Month At A Glance You guys know by this point that every one of my plan with me videos begins with a month at a glance spread—  for March’s spreads, I opted for a larger calendar — still not completely two full pages wide, but larger than my typical one-page calendars that usually have less space for writing in appointment or event details! It feels like a crime to create March spreads without incorporating some sort of green, so the one pop of colour you’ll see in this month’s spreads will come from this Tombow dual brush marker in the shade 312….it’s a beautiful seafoam type of green th ..read more

How to *actually* stick to a workout routine
Caitlin Da Silva Blog
by Caitlin Da Silva

Last year I wanted to prioritize movement in my life — as someone who’s gone through ups and downs with my workout journey, I was determined to make this round stick! It took some trial and error to find a routine that worked for me, but these are some of the tips that have helped keep me on track with my movement journey! What is your “why?” Like most healthy habits, a commitment to working out requires some sort of intention to push you on the days when you don't feel like slipping into your exercise gear. Before 2021, I had experiences with bursts of exercise motivation (a month or two he ..read more
