Equipment: SkyWatcher 8" reflector. 2704Studio focuser. Pegasus FocusCube 2. QHY268C. OAG. Televue Powermate 2" reflector. Vixen SXP. I've used auto focus since it was introduced with almost no problems. I settled into the ASTAP HFD method and it worked great for almost every setup I had including a Skywatcher 180 at 2700mm. But I cannot get even close to a usable reading from this setup (3200mm). I tried InvPower as well using many different settings. The graphs almost always looked random with no discernable pattern. When I try to connect to my EOS R5 C, I get the proper model number in the log, but it tells me it's unsupported and will be treated as a 1000D. Naturally, nothing works. I know the R5 C is an odd case, but it uses the same processor as the R5 -- Digic X. Any suggestions? I'm asking on the Canon developer site to verify if the EDSDK supports the R5 C. Yesterday I tried the recommended negative values for the filp moment and 10min to delay and the same thing happened again..APT completed the 15-min exposure and switched to the 15' waiting time (the 15' value also flashed there for a moment).
