Hi All, I've just had a Sony XAV-AX8050D installed in a motorhome with Kenwood KFC PS1795 door speakers. I have some fitting issues they are trying to sort out I. E they can't seem to find the correct fascia panel to finish off the dashboard therefore it has a gap around it that I'm not happy about, however I'm also not very impressed with the sound quality, and have spent a while trying to tweak the Equaliser without much improvement. The highs sound distorted and too bright, and the low frequencies just don't sound very good either, and the mids sound bland. To be honest what I've heard f ..read more

Hi, I'm after some advice. I have a OE Sat Nav for a Trafic  which I want to fit to my Vivaro. Thought it would be a straight swap with additional GPS antenne, but the plugs are different. Does anyone know of an adaptor harness? Regards, Wes statistics: Posted by weshumphreys74 — 8:45 PM - Today ..read more

Went for the buy once, cry once philosophy on this one. Actually the first stand-alone DSP I've bought since I had a RF Symmetry EPX in the mid 90s ;) All others have been integrated in head unit, amplifier or part of a 2-box HU/processor combo (Pioneer P9 among others). So here is my brand new Brax DSP, built by order to my custom spec. I went for 2x digital and 2x analog input modules, and 6x analog output modules (2ch each = 12 output channels), and a HD BT streaming extension module.  statistics: Posted by Haakon — 1:59 AM - Today ..read more

It is basically impossible to tell from those pictures, but the basics of car audio are, source, amp, speakers - everything else is just dressing. so you need your source (usually a head unit) to be either directly connected to your speakers, or to be connected to an amp which is connected to your speakers. statistics: Posted by Simonh — 28 minutes ago ..read more

Hi forum, Newbie looking for help!! I’ve bought some rear facing, headrest screens for my kids. They have DVD & HDMI inputs. Trouble is, I haven’t bought a DVD in about 10 years! So, I’m looking for a way of using the HDMI input. I have Netflix, Prime, Disney+. Wondering if there’s a way of using our tablets (one iPad, one android) and mirroring downloaded content from those apps. Does anyone have any suggestions? Would be keen to hear how anyone else is using their screens. Thanks!! statistics: Posted by ianfoxall — 4:45 PM - Today ..read more

Hi,  I recently purchased a newly imported JDM Toyota. The original Japanese owner had put in an extensive aftermarket Alpine sound system, which included a custom centre console housing the amps, auxilliary battery and some oil-filled capacitors, and a false floor in the passenger side footwell which hides a 'multimedia manager'. One minor issue is that it makes no sound, despite everything firing up and whirring away. Under the panel in the passenger footwell are some taped up power wires and a couple of other cables. Maybe they point to the solution. I've taken some pictures (linked b ..read more

I'm having difficulty fitting an old JBL GTO 75.4 4 ( too long) channel amp into a nice hidden away gap in my car and need to buy a smaller (length wise) amp. Can anyone recommend an amp, budget £100-£200? These two are the right size. Are these good choices? https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/alpine- ... ifier.html https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/jbl-sta ... ifier.html statistics: Posted by bluegrass — 6:55 PM - Today ..read more
