Totally understand if people don’t want to comment, how much do you earn? Self employed? Mobile? Salon? How many hours etc, after deductions, I have worked on my own for over 7 years, and I have nothing to compare what I get, I don’t know if I’m doing ok, or if I need to spice things up, iv been out of the loop I would say. Or if I should go back to a salon! Thanks ..read more

Hi, I am in the process of setting up a mobile beauty business and am struggling to find the right gel polish brand to use. When I worked in a salon we used Jessica geleration which was good but is not hema free. I have bought and tried samples of semilac, glitterbels and dali artistic and none of them have been great! Please help me, I'm going insane spending hours every night trawling the internet trying to find a professional, hema free gel polish with a good range of colours that... Read more ..read more

Hi! I have just seen on the sweetsquared Facebook page that they have launched a gel & polish mixer. It looks really good & works with any gel or polish, mixing them with magnets to get rid of thickening & separating. Not a bad price, just wondered if anyone has invested or would be looking to invest in one of them I would be interested to hear people’s opinions before buying myself. I feel I can never shake bottles properly & handy to have them mixing whilst prepping the nail. Wondering if... Read more ..read more

Has anyone had clients who have become allergic to ugly duckling builder base? I switched 2 clients over to the biab in early November, things were fine up until a month ago, when both clients nails started separating from the nail bed. The only thing different is I switched them from hard gel to biab. Never had any issues with the hard gel. I am thinking this is a hema allergy but I am wondering if anyone else is having this issue particularly with UD builder base ..read more

Why has Shellac started chipping on long standing client?

As the title says, i'm trying to figure out why my Shellac has started chipping on my client. She has been coming every 2 weeks without fail since December as she is trying to improve her nails after acrylics. So far it has been fantastic. The nails are really healthy and are growing nicely. She had hot chillis and loved it. Had it again and it started chipping within a day or two. We redid it a week later (hot chillis) and i was meticulous, wondering if i'd accidently missed something the... Read more ..read more
