I've traced ownership back to 1969 and the truck has hauled race cars for legends Bobby Allsion, Geoff Bodine, and Ray Hendrick and Red Farmer. It's still a mystery who fabricated the truck when it was showroom new...! Any ideas or leads...??? I'm very thankful the engine still runs great. Just replaced the entire clutch hydraulic line as it was all froze up after sitting dormant for 17 years. Air brakes are fully functional again including the air horns whooooo...! If... Good afternoon. I am new here. I am searching for information that probably can’t be found but am going to try anyway. I am looking for a 1960 f100 f10jok48921. It was bought new in Oakley ks in November of 1960. Possibly sold or traded in in Harvey Or Scott County ks in 1962 or 1963. My father bought this truck new but he passed away in October of 1961. My mom kept everything but I had no idea I would find the original sales records or I would have searched years ago. So.... if anyone runs... Lost 1960 ..read more

I just purchased a 1979 F100 300 I6. I have put about 10 miles on it. During checkout of all accessories I pulled the cigarette lighter out. Truck was running. I saw a spark and immediately shut it down. Now when I turn the key I get the grinding noise you get when the stater solenoid isn’t engaging. The lights work. Any suggestions on where to start ..read more

I have a 1966 f100 with a 352w in it. It needs a rebuild (any engine put in it will be rebuilt) and I was wondering if I can put in a 302 without having to go all out with clutch and everything. It has the three on the tree transmission and I want to keep that. Is it possible to keep it and put a 302 in it ..read more

Hello, I have a 1975 f100 V8 390 automatic, when I try to shift it into park it locks into place. It also has no problem shifting through the range from neutral to reverse etc. My issue is when in park and I go to turn the key it won't start.. but if I shake the shifter around a little up at the top of the range it starts right away. Is this a sign of linkage issues? I had a quick look at it and it all appears tight but May some of the bushings are going or something needs adjustment? Tks ..read more

1949 F-6, flathead V8, dump truck. I use it on my farm for hauling gravel from my neighbor's gravel pit for our long driveway. It's been sitting for a couple of years, started once in those years. Went to start it again today. No go. Checked gas line to carb. No gas. Tank maybe low? Added five gallons. Ran starter again. No go. Checked gas line to carb again. No gas. I put in a new fuel pump about 8 years ago and had the carb overhauled by a local guy who knows his way around... 1949 F-6, Flathead V-8: No gas to the carburetor ..read more
