This one has been in the works for a long time.
The Ohio State and Oregon home-and-home series was initially announced in October of 2012. The Ducks and Buckeyes would play in Eugene in 2020 and Columbus in 2021.
And of course, it didn’t happen that way. But now, as conference rivals, the No. 2 Buckeyes will finally make their trip out to Eugene for the first top-5, top-4, top-3 matchup in Autzen Stadium history.
Shane Hoffmann joined Tyson Alger on The I-5 Corridor’s Traffic Report this week to discuss a pretty notable game for the No. 3 Ducks.

A day after driving down and up the I-5 Corridor, Tyson and Shane recount their day at Oregon football practice and basketball media day in this week’s Traffic Report.
Shane even shares what he believes is keeping Oregon quarterback Bo Nix away from the front of the Heisman race: It’s not East Coast bias, it’s Bo Nix Bias.
“There are still media members to this day that can’t shake the Auburn Bo Nix,” Shane says. “He’s been doing this long enough, with a second OC at Oregon, I’m surprised it’s taken this long for people shed that perception of him at Oregon.”

Since the Corridor is all about that soccer life these days, we wanted to check in with Jake about his new gig, his view on the sports streaming world and reflect of his favorite memories covering the Ducks back in the day.

A lot has happened in Aidan Schneider’s life in the last year.
The former Oregon kicker has moved. He’s gotten married. And he’s lately found himself in the heart of Husky country as a new Seattle resident. After way too long of a layoff, Aidan rejoined the Traffic Report on Thursday to catch up, reminisce about playing in that Michigan State game from 10 years ago and talk about why he’s starting to change his mind on NIL.

So, a bit has happened around Portland in the last week. The city landed a WNBA team, the Portland Diamond Project dangled its latest carrot and the Blazers announced they’ll be broadcasting their games over the air.
Justin Myers and I got together to talk about it all in our latest Traffic Report. Then, it’s on to UCLA — a program that Myers says, much like Tuesday, has no feel to it.

Really fun Traffic Report out today.
I spent 40 minutes with UO broadcaster Jerry Allen inside the Hatfield Dowlin-Complex, diving into what this week’s game against Oregon State means, why he initially hated his “Kenny Wheaton is going to score” call and that time he got mad at Mike Jorgensen for hiding under a table.

In this week’s episode of The I-5 Corridor’s Traffic Report, Tyson and Shane recap Oregon’s opening weekend against Idaho, take a look ahead to Boise State and wonder what exactly happened to DJU down in Tallahassee.
Then, it’s the Shane Hoffmann exit interview. Tyson grills Shane on his favorite stories, interviews, places to eat and moments in Oregon before his move down to Los Angeles later this week.

Andrew Greif saw Raygun happen in person.
That should be good enough on its own to carry this week’s podcast, but our longtime friend of the pod stops by to share some of his other favorite moments from covering the last two weeks in Paris.
Greif breaks down Cole Hocker’s win in the 1500m, Noah Lyles’ gold and silver medals and, yes, what exactly happened during that breakdancing competition.

Justin Myers fills in for Shane Hoffmann in this week’s Traffic Report as he and Tyson Alger discuss the opening of football training camps across the state. The two talk about Myers’ time at Big Ten Media Days in Indianapolis and then reflect on the first week of the Olympics.

The mic still works.
Shane is back from Canada and the Olympic Peninsula. Tyson has finally recovered from his Africa jet lag. And after a couple of weeks away, the pair met up at The I-5 Corridor’s St. Johns’ office and shared stories of their travels for the masses (dozens) to hear.
They also had plenty of sports to catch up on, like the NBA Finals, N'Faly Dante’s rejection and that Sophia Smith red card.
