Howdy folks.
Well after dissembling my center console to install neutral cover plate (and find a lost screw) - I put things back together and started my car just like normal.
That was yesterday.
Today, I attempted to start it and the engine acted/sounded like it was about to turn over, but stops just right before it does. Additionally, the MIL light is being shown on the dash, along with “Ignition or Accessory on” shown on the screen.
Clearly a battery problem, and judging by my...

Custom exhaust added to my 2023 Dodge Challenger RT 5.7 V8 Manual. Did the project in two different parts:
Part 1 - Zoomers mid-mufflers and H-Pipe
Cold Start and Revs Sound Clip on YouTube
Factory X-Pipe replaced by 3" H-Pipe. The connection between pipes is as close as possible to the front of the car, under the head shield where the X was.
Pair of 3" Zoomers mufflers replacing the factory mid-mufflers.
All pipe...

I sent my PCM to HP Tuners. While its gone, is it ok to reconnect the battery so I can lock the doors and have the door windows park in the right place after I close the door? I don't know if it will screw up other modules or components to have power but no comms with the PCM ..read more

I would like to install an oil PSI gauge and oil temp gauge. The easiest way seems to be to use a sandwich plate. Does the plate go on top of the filler neck somehow and the tightened cap holds it together? Or does the plate on a Challenger install elsewhere? All of these plates I have seen seem to be for old school screw on filters ..read more

Does anyone have any experience with a late model Scat, with and without the shaker hood? I just drove a shaker and the drone was terrible. I expect that's exhaust noise, but an unrestricted intake can make noise ..read more

I've replaced both my heater actuator and external/internal actuator 4 times all different motors but they are all making noise it can't be a problem with the unit itself does anyone know how to fit them so they don't make the noise?
2 of the actuators were brand new that I bought and for 1 day the internal/external didn't make a noise but the next morning when I turned on the car it did its pre setting and started making the noise again
Thanks ..read more

So I am going to be installing a 370 AMP Mechman Elite alternator soon. Researching the proper wiring upgrade needed for this alternator.... We have 1/0 ran to the battery from the firewall back So was thinking I could just run a 1/0 line from the new alternator to the firewall post to upgrade the charge wire.... Then I started looking a little bit closer and it appears that the battery cable that runs the entire length of the vehicle has no fuse at all to protect it, and just a fusible link...

At least, I think that's it. Here's the history and symptoms:
Had a 7 year old battery die a couple of weeks ago. Replaced said battery and all was well.
Then noticed a small whine coming from under the hood. It's been growing steadily louder.
Yesterday coming home from the airport, and this afternoon, coming home from the office, it was fairly loud. The whine varies with engine RPM.
Also noticed today at lunch that the idle RPM's were fluctuating somewhat. Would sit at normal for a few...
