So my brake booster went out while driving, had a shop replaced it, the first one was defective so they ordered another one and installed it. Car was their for a month which sucked but anyways get a call saying the car is done and the brakes feel like new after they bled it, pick the car up and the brake pedal goes straight to the floor but stops, so I bring it back. A couple months ago I went to a dodge dealership with a noise complaint, ended up replacing my struts, strut mounts and clips, and sway bar end links with them and other suspension related parts with other mechanics. I still had this noise complaint and was told by a mechanic that the struts were installed wrong. Decided to go to a different dodge dealership where they agreed, struts were installed wrong. this is just a parts car, i drove it into the garage and it did fine, after pulling the speakers out of the rear deck,i had already sold the radio. I went to start it and it is stuck in park and the key wont come out. i tested to little micro switch in the shifter and its fine, its just a parts car so the repair doesn't need to be pretty, i just want to start it occasionally and move it around. I had a left low beam out according to my center display, and it would come and go. I finally got around to messing with it last night after reading some threads on here the last couple days. The tag in the door says my car should have HID lights in it. Instead, it has a scabbed in two wire harness and a Halogen in it. I always thought the lighting was pretty poor on it. Hi there, I'm a relatively new Dart owner and I've noticed some odd behavior I can't find help with anywhere. "Transmission stuck in Park" searches always come back with linkage issues but I don't think this is the problem. This happens only when it is cool/cold out, never when it's hot. I'd say anything under 60° and this starts to happen. Any warmer and the issue completely disappears. What happens if the car needs to warm up before it will let you shift out of park.
