Murray has served as Police Marshal since February 2016 and has led the department admirably during his tenure. NEWBURYPORT — City Marshal Mark Murray and Fire Chief Stephen Bradbury III report that the Newburyport Police and Fire Departments responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.
On Wednesday, March 13, at approximately 11:14 a.m., Newburyport Police and Fire were called to the intersection of High and Marlboro streets for a report of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle.
First responders arrived to find an adult male pedestrian suffering injuries that appeared to be non life-threatening. That individual was taken by ambulance to Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Marshall Mark Murray and Fire Chief Stephen Bradbury report that the Newburyport Police and Fire Departments responded Thursday to the discovery of possible pipe bombs in a home under construction.
On Thursday, Oct. 19, at approximately 2:03 p.m., Newburyport Police and Fire were dispatched to a home on Purchase Street after contractors located a box that contained what appeared to be four pipe bombs.
The home is under construction and no one is living there at this time. The property owner was not aware of the presence of the box until it was discovered by contractors.

NEWBURYPORT– Chief Christopher J. LeClaire and City Marshal Mark Murray report that the Newburyport Fire Department’s Marine Unit vessel sank while docked at Cashman Park sometime overnight on Thursday or early Friday morning.
