HOLBROOK — Chief William Smith reports that the Holbrook Police Department responded after a large tree fell onto an occupied pickup truck during Monday’s storm. Just after 11 a.m., Holbrook Police and Fire responded after receiving reports that a large tree had fallen onto the cab and bed of a pickup truck at 3 Maywood Road, trapping the driver inside. The tree was an estimated 2-3 feet in diameter. Firefighters used hydraulic rescue tools to free the driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle.
