SBB Swiss Railways App based ticketing as you go

When in Switzerland this week I was using the SBB app to purchase tickets - as I have done in the past. Very convenient and way better than mucking around with ticket machines. I did discover the EasyRide function - basically when you start the journey you swipe right to start the trip and swipe left when you finish. At the end of the day it works out the cheapest fare and charges your CC. Interestingly, it did work well. I would have bought a 9 zone pass for Zurich for my trips... Read more ..read more

Sofitel Melbourne Buffet Breakfast Review?
Australian Frequent Flyer

Hi All, Will be looking to book Sofitel Melbourne for my wedding night stay (Just 1 night). Deciding if I should book a room with breakfast included. I am thinking of booking via Qantas Hotels, to earn 4 points per $1 spent and also bonus 5k QFF points for stays >$250. There is a ~15% difference between Accor Member rates and Qantas hotel. Just wondering if the buffet breakfast at No35 is worth it? Or should I book the night and have brunch somewhere. Noting I am new to Accor so have no... Read more ..read more

Hi everyone, We will be transit for 4.5 hrs in Incheon airport on Fri from 3.20pm till 8pm. Flying with Asianna. We got Star Alliance Gold status so have access to lounges. Originally plan to use SG Kris Flyer lounge but find out they close between 4.30 till 8.45pm. I guess we can use SG lounge for the 1st hr from 3.30 till 4.30. The rest will have to be at Asianna lounges. However, they have multiple lounges(East, West, Central). Are they all the same or is there one better? With... Read more ..read more

I have finally bitten the bullet and decided to travel to the UK after 5 long years of pandemics and fear of flying long distances with DVT. I managed to get a reasonably cheap business class fare from Kuala Lumpur to Geneva and back on Etihad. The trade off is of course long layovers in Abu Dhabi. But needs must My luggage will be checked through to to final destination on both legs, so in effect I will be "in transit" at Abu Dhabi. From what I can see on the internet, it appears... Anyone know how bad the UAE disruptions are?

The Emirates website must be copping a flogging at the moment - it says that there have been severe disruptions in Dubai due to weather and it says to check the flight status page - which returns Things are pretty messed up as it can't even display the flight status's for yesterday's flights either. If anyone has any information on how bad things are I would appreciate if they can post as I'm flying CAI-DXB-SIN tomorrow on EK (with QF flight numbers on a QF ticket) - it would... Considering downgrading my Plat card to the Explorer after all the devaluations, but saw the Plat Reserve has 2.25 pts / $ earn rate compared to the Explorer's 2 pts / $. Has anybody tried this, or is there any downside for Reserve compared to Explorer? The insurances seem to be exactly the same (both cards are in the same PDF), but not sure if I'd keep the grandfathered $400 travel credit ..read more

A question so rarely seen online but, is there a way to pass a compliment re Jetstar crew A cursory search of their website threw up a web chat which seemed to be more focussed on complaints, and may or may not be AI based Ordinarily I’d email QFF but uncertain if it would be passed on (JQ677 DRW-MEL 19/4 1L cabin crew that wasn’t the cabin manager, on the off chance they monitor this forum ..read more
