The money being used for this would have been better used for improving trails, trail head parking, bathroom facilities, and staff to help with the over use of all trails along highway 20. Anyone that has driven over the North Cascades in the fall the last five years can attest to this. Back in the late 90's there would barely be a car or two parked along the highway. Last fall when coming home in mid October from Eastern Washington the line of cars by the trail heads was nearly a mile in both directions.
