Hello everyone, I am currently working on a program that completely fixes the backtiming problem in RadioDJ without the need for human intervention. Are there any radio stations that still work with RadioDJ?

Background:
Part of a small volunteer community station in a rural area. We are in the running for a generous grant for upgrading equipment and I’ve been tapped in to help due to (1) background in running small-medium scale live audio and (2) being among the youngest and most generally tech savvy people at the station.
We currently have a very old Radiomixer analog board with mainly analog sources coming in (mics, CD players, turntables, audio input from a few computers, etc.). It’s still cranking but definitely a bit rough and it will be great to replace. We have a streaming setup through I ..read more

Hi all, I hope this question is okay to ask here as I'm looking for feedback from people in the radio industry.
Over the past 4 months, I've been working on an academic project which involved compiling data about the major cities in my country, which I believe will be of real interest to residents of these cities. I'm now at the stage where I'm ready to share the results and want to send press releases to local radio stations in the featured cities (and just to confirm, I do have approval from my University to share these results). My hope is that at least a few radio stations will report the ..read more

I fell down a YouTube rabbit hole and want to get into radio now. How do I learn about radios, radio design, and the underlying principles? Any recommendations, whether they be books, YouTube channels, or anything else would be very appreciated. Thanks!

No, technically not am/fm. This would be an online local show focused on Indie but realistically just a slightly more approachable version of KEXP with plenty of variety.
No, being a DJ radio at this station doesn’t mean doing adverts or making fake crank calls in the morning to entertain someone driving to their shit job. Then playing Led Zeppelin during rush hour to “get the led out” or any of that bs commercial radio garbage.
I would be hosting my own show. Curating my own music. Trying to find local talent to play and hopefully have perform live for the station. Playing variety but focusi ..read more

Hi friends, would you please share what you consider some really well designed radio station websites or apps? Looking for some inspiration to design my own website and would appreciate your input on what features or design elements to include.

I want to listen to old music on the radio but I can't find anything and I know to actually have the music come out the radio it will most probably need to be heavily modified but I just hate having the new music on my radio and I want the music I like because is it really to much to ask in this world for some music that I like on the radio instead of finding a playlist on YouTube and listening to that I just want some good music for once also sorry this is so long

I’m sorry if this isn’t allowed So back in probably 2011 or 2012, I remember hearing this ad on the radio. My mom doesn’t remember hearing it, but swears that it was for Hardee’s (Maybe the fried bologna sndwiches?) but my best friend also remembers hearing it. It was a radio ad, with this old guy singing and the lyrics were “Don’t make fun of my house because it stinks; a panda bear named rodger lives under my sink; i let him live under my sink rent free;because he knits my sweaters that make me look sexy” We have tried searching the internet for this to no avail. PLEASE tell me someone else ..read more
